Miss Universe Philippines 2023 scraps previously announced Top 10 due to 'technical difficulties'

After announcing the Top 10 finalists of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023, the pageant body backtracked and brought back its Top 18.

According to host Xian Lim, they were resorting to manual counting due to technical difficulties. Each of the previously announced Top 18 were to proceed to model their evening gown.

The Top 5 finalists will be announced afterwards, Xian added.

The competition began with 38 ladies vying for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown.

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is set to crown her successor at the end of the coronation night held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
