Manila says 'I love you' the most online, according to search website

It is now proven that those in Manila are the most loving people online.

According to Oscar Oida's "24 Oras" report Thursday, it was found by word search website Crossword Solver that Manila uses "I love you," "Love you," "Heart You," and heart emojis the most.

It was also found that the younger generation are the usual ones who are confident enough to do this.

Out of 10,000 tweets from Manila, 1,246 of these contains words of endearmenrt such as "I love you." A total of 93%, meanwhile, said they feel loved even on a normal day.

Pop culture expert Prof. Jimmuel Naval said Filipinos used to be conservative. This changed with the arrival of the internet and social media.

"Lumakas ang kumpyansa natin na magsabi," he said. "Culturally, mahiyain ang mga Pilipino pero 'pag nagkapalagayan na kayo ng loob, bumabanat na 'yung Pinoy."

"Talagang bumabangka na sa usaping pag-ibig—mapa-babae man o lalaki," he added.
