4,800 kids in S.Kudarat, Sarangani receive school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 4,800 students from Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani received school supplies from the GMA Kapuso Foundation under its “Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan” project.

According to a “24 Oras” report Wednesday, among the beneficiaries was the child of Jennelyn Dela Cruz, who earns low wages in the sugarcane fields but still makes sure to dedicate some of her time to teaching her son.

“Tinitiis namin yung init ng araw tapos pagdating ng hapon or gabi, do’n mo na po iindahin lahat ng sakit. Tuloy pa rin para lang po makakain yung mga anak namin,” she said.

“Sabi ko [sa anak ko], ‘Mag-aral kang mabuti para pag laki mo, makahanap ka ng trabaho, kung ano gusto mong trabaho,’” she added.

Apart from school supplies, the beneficiaries also received vitamins and hygiene kits.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
