Here are some facts you may not know about chicken inasal
We all already know that chicken inasal is good, but here are more things to know about the dish.
According to Kuya Kim on “24 Oras” Tuesday, compared to the ordinary barbecue, inasal does not use soy sauce. Instead, it uses native coconut vinegar, sugar and calamansi.
It’s usually orange in color because it gets mixed with atsuete while it’s grilling.
Meanwhile, the word inasal came from the Hiligaynon word which means “iniihaw” or roasted meat.
Chicken Inasal originated in Bacolod, where the Manokan Country is found. The food spot houses 12 different restos that offer a variety of takes on the well-loved dish.
Among them is the one owned by Rosario Tutor. Her restaurant was even one of those recommended by online gastronomic database Taste Atlas.
The Philippine favorite brought pride to the country recently when it was named the fifth best chicken dish in the world by Taste Atlas.
