If you like 'Maria Clara at Ibarra,' you might want to check out 'The Lost Recipe'

If you can’t get enough of “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” you may want to check out this 2021 Kapuso teleserye while eagerly waiting for the next episode to drop.

Titled “The Lost Recipe,” the fantasy-romance has some of the interesting elements of “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” like time travel and showcasing Filipino culture through food.

“The Lost Recipe” follows Harvey Napoleon (Kelvin Miranda), a chef whose specialty is adobo. When his restaurant loses customers, he is granted the opportunity to travel back in time where he meets Conchita Valencia, the mother of Philippine cuisine.

Harvey accidentally takes her adobo recipe and consequently erases Conchita’s food empire. Because of this, the young chef decides to use the recipe to recover from his past failures.

A talented cook and Consuelo’s granddaughter named Apple Valencia (Mikee Quintos) applies to work at Harvey’s restaurant, where they work together and share their passion for food. Harvey then starts to learn more about how his time travel affected the present day.

The full episodes are currently being uploaded on GMA Public Affairs’ YouTube channel, but you can already watch the full series in parts!
