Denise Julia, Kritiko collaborate on new song "Create New Paths" for sportswear brand

The Filipino talent shines through!

"NVMD" hitmaker Denise Julia and "Raise Your Flag" singer Kritiko collaborated with producer Moophs for a new song, "Create New Paths," for the launch of Adidas' fresh pair of sneakers, NMD_V3.

With lyrics written by Denise and Kritiko, "Create New Paths" tells the story of people who are rebelliously unafraid to tread new paths and explore infinite opportunities in life.

According to Adidas Philippines brand activation manager Jen Dacasin, partnering with Denise and Kritiko to produce an original song is a first for the brand.

"Just like the song inspires [you] to create new paths, Denise Julia, Kritiko, and Moophs are all rebellious explorers who've forged their way to make names for themselves through their creativity and artistry," Jen said in a press release.

The newest NMD_V3 features a re-engineered mesh wrapped around the foot, a transparent heel clip, and a cushioning partially encapsulated in a Thermoplastic Polyurethane shell.

As an ode to sustainability, the sneaker also contains an upper made with a high-performance yarn with at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic, a reimagined plastic waste intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines, and 50% recycled polyester.

This isn't the first time Adidas has partnered with Filipino creatives for their products. Previously, the brand collaborated with Jappy Agoncillo for a shirt collection highlighting Filipino street life.
