This family channels ‘Crash Landing On You’ via paragliding in Cavite
Looking for an extreme activity to enjoy with your family? Try paragliding!
As seen on Katrina Son’s “24 Oras” report Wednesday, Donald Estrella and his family have been going to Carmona, Cavite every once in a while to paraglide and enjoy each other’s company.
Donald said it hadn’t always been like this as he and his son Christian were afraid of heights. The view they saw when they first tried the sport in 2020 changed all that.
“Nung pumunta kami do’n, na-surprise kami. Meron sa Pilipinas non. Kala ko mga Koreano lang meron nito eh, yung sa ‘Crash Landing On You,’” he said.
Eventually, they enrolled in a paragliding course and became a family of licensed independent pilots.
“It changed how I am with myself,” said Debbie, one of Donald and Lynn’s three kids. “I learned how to make decisions better na parang I can trust myself more.”
Though Lynn admitted to feeling nervous and scared for her kids, she believes her children are able.
Apart from this being an avenue for them to bond more, Donald said they’re also glad to help locals.—Franchesca Viernes/LDF, GMA News
