Herlene Budol turns emotional as she sees family's new home for the first time

Herlene "Hipon Girl" Budol couldn't help but turn emotional when she saw her family's new house and lot in Angono, Rizal for the very first time.

As seen in her YouTube vlog, Herlene brought her family with her to their new home, which was gifted to them by her manager, Wilbert Tolentino.

Like the beauty queen, her grandfather turned speechless. Everyone else around them was also just trying to seize the moment. Of course, that included showing the home to her grandma's photo.

Prior to going to the location, Herlene expressed how much she wished her late grandma was there to witness the huge milestone in their life.

"Gusto ko maranasan nila (grandparents) na tumira sa maayos pero hindi na naabutan ni Nanay. Wala na siya at ngayong araw na 'to, bibilhin na ni Sir Wilbert 'yung bahay," she said.

"Napanaginipan ko si Nanay ngayon. Hindi siya nagsasalita. Nakangiti lang siya," she continued.

("I want them to live in a proper home but Nanay did not make it. She's gone and today, Sir Wilbert will buy the house. I dreamed of Nanay today. She did not speak. She was just smiling.")

Herlene also shared a short but heartfelt message to her Nanay, who passed away last June.

"Magkakabahay na tayo, Nanay. Nay, gusto kita mapanaginipan. Gusto kita makita ulit," she said.

("We're getting a new home, Nanay. Nay, I want to dream of you. I want to see you again.")

According to Herlene, she joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant because Wilbert said he will give her a new house if she agrees to do so.

"Sino ba namang tanga na hindi papayag do'n? Praktikal na tayo. 'Di naman kami mayaman," Herlene said. "Wala kaming kisame, mainit, magulo 'yung bahay namin (ngayon)."

("Who won't agree to that? We should be practical. We aren't rich. We don't have a kisame, our current home is hot, it's haphazard.")

Herlene won first runner-up in the pageant and also bagged seven special awards.
