Bayanihan is still alive in Misamis Occidental

It looks like the tradition of bayanihan is still alive after all.

According to #KuyaKimAnoNa on “24 Oras” Friday, 80 men in Clarin, Misamis Occidental, helped move a nipa hut to a lot 200 meters away.

The house was owned by couple Arlene and Dennis Rodriguez, who said they had to move because they did not own the land where their hut stood.

“Dahil hindi sa amin iyong lupang pinagtayuan, wala kaming magawa,” said Dennis.

“Kahit kubo lang gagastos pa rin kami sa mga kakailanganin namin kung magtatayo kami,” said Arlene.

With the help of their neighbors, the couple were able to move to their new place. – RC, GMA News
