TikTok Awards: ‘24 Oras,’ ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,’ ‘Unang Hirit’ earn Top Media Publisher nominations

“24 Oras,” “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” and “Unang Hirit” have been nominated for Top Media Publisher at this year’s TikTok Awards!

According to TikTok, the award will be given to the “media publisher that has achieved the most video views, engagements, and additional followers for the time period.”

In October last year, “24 Oras” made history as the first Philippine newscast to livestream on TikTok. It later reached a million followers just five months after its launch.

“Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” meanwhile, became the country’s most followed news publisher on TikTok last month. It now has over three million followers.

Last but not the least, “Unang Hirit” has gotten collective likes of 27 million with over a million followers.

Joining the three GMA-7 shows in the list of nominees are Philippine Star, Cignal TV’s One PH, News 5, DZRH News, and When in Manila.

The TikTok Awards 2022 will stream live on the social media platform on Aug. 20, 7 p.m.
