Migz Zubiri and wife at the opening of 19th Congress

Senator Miguel Zubiri and his wife Audrey Tan-Zubiri have arrived at the Senate ahead of the opening of the 19th Congress.

In a photo posted by GMA News' Mav Gonzales, Zubiri could be seen wearing a traditional barong, while Audrey wore a white and tan terno complete with matching purse.

Zubiri is expected to be the next Senate president of the 19th Congress.

In an interview on Sunday, he said he sees no rival for the Senate presidency and that an independent bloc may be formed in the upper chamber.

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is set to hold his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) in the afternoon, exactly 25 days since he took his oath as the 17th President of the Philippines.

He is expected to unveil his plans for the country in the next 12 months. —JCB, GMA News
