Fans were thrilled to see Zac returning to his roots.

Even Bart Johnson, who played Zac's onscreen father, was touched. "Warms coaches ole heart to see this," he commented. "Welcome home, son. WHAT TEAM!?"

Zac is not the only one who visited the school recently.

Vanessa Hudgens also shared a video of herself in Salt lake High School last month.

Quoting her own line from the iconic movie, she captioned, "Do you remember in kindergarten how you'd meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you're playing like you're best friends because you didn't have to be anything but yourself?"

Zac and Vanessa played Troy and Gabriela in the hit musical film "High School Musical," which was released in 2006, and spawned two sequels and spin-offs.
