Toni Gonzaga sings the Philippine national anthem at Marcos inauguration

Toni Gonzaga signaled the commencement of the presidential inauguration on Thursday with her rendition of the national anthem.

The actress and TV host sang "Lupang Hinirang" at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila, where President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is set to swear in as the 17th president of the Philippines.

Prior to the ceremony, Marcos saw former president Rodrigo Duterte off in Malacañang.

Marcos won the Eleksyon 2022 presidential race with 31 million votes. His running-mate, Duterte's daughter Sara, won the vice presidential election with 32 million votes. —JCB, GMA News
