Metro Manila Pride March will be back on the streets this June

After being held virtually for the past two years, the iconic Metro Manila Pride March and Festival is coming back with an in-person event on June 25, Saturday, 10 a.m. onwards at CCP Open Grounds in Pasay City.

Details about the march route, venue map, full program, and safety reminders would be released in the coming days, according to Metro Manila Pride Organization.

The organization also posted about month-long Pride events, such as webinars, art fairs, and film festivals across the country.

“Lubos na pasasalamat sa pasensyang inilaan ninyo sa paghihintay, mga mahal,” said its Instagram post.

“Excited na kaming magtulungan tayong lahat para gawin itong makahulugan at ligtas na pagsasama-sama!”

With the theme “#AtinAngKulayaan: Makibeki Ngayon, Atin ang Panahon!” the annual march serves to empower the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community by creating spaces where their identities are celebrated, stories are respected, and their rights recognized. It also serves as a protest against the abuse and injustices the community faces. – RC, GMA News
