Miriam Quiambao celebrates birthday in Boracay for the first time, says it's the 'best one so far'

Miriam Quiambao had the time of her life when she celebrated her birthday in Boracay for the first time.

On Instagram, Saturday, the Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up said the occasion was full of love.

"Best Boracay Birthday Ever! Well, it's my first time to celebrate my birthday on the island and I'll have to say it's the best one so far," said the former beauty queen, who turned 47 years old.

"I didn't really plan any party today. I just wanted to have time [with] my God and a simple celebration [with] family but I got so much more than I asked for," she added.

Apart from doing her usual morning session at the beach, Miriam did a photo shoot on a crystal kayak, got visited by loved ones, and ate lots of good food.

Her husband Ardy Roberto also surprised her with a romantic getaway complete with a foot spa, full body massage, and a floral bath that came with chocolates and champagne.

Miriam also took the time to thank God. She prays that the "next 47 years will be spent walking [with] God [and] bring Him glory even more."

The Roberto family moved to Boracay in February, saying that they "look forward to living the island life for the rest of the year."

Miriam and Ardy tied the knot in 2014. They have two children: Elijah and Ezekiel Isaiah.
