Celeste Cortesi on winning Miss Universe Philippines: 'I've worked so hard for this and I let God do the rest'
Celeste Cortesi feels nothing but grateful a day after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 crown.
On Instagram Sunday, the Filipina-Italian beauty queen looked back on the coronation and shared some of the thoughts that ran through her head.
"Yesterday, as I was walking on that beautiful stage, all I was thinking [about was my] mom and dad. The strength I got from them is indescribable," she wrote in the caption.
"I've worked so hard for this, I've prepared. And I let God do the rest in knowing that whatever is meant for me will never pass me by," she added.

Comparing where she is now to her first arrival in the country, the 24-year-old said she's looking forward to representing the country in the prestigious pageant.
"I've grown so much since I came [to] the Philippines [five] years ago and I really promised myself that I would only join a pageant if I'm ready to take the responsibility of a crown, and I am now," she said.
"Yesterday, [I] received my second chance and I am beyond honored and grateful to be able to represent my country in the Miss Universe stage."
With her win, Celeste hopes that her story "can inspire so many to never give up on their dreams because [through] hard work, perseverance, and faith, you can achieve anything you want."
Aside from praying and working hard, Celeste revealed that she also manifested the crown.
