Miss Universe Philippines 2022 finalists exude intelligence, humor in preliminary interviews

The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 finalists exuded intelligence and humor in their preliminary interviews held Wednesday afternoon at Okada Manila.

The 32 candidates were given 30 seconds to answer each of the five questions given to them during the event, which was livestreamed on Empire Philippines’ YouTube channel.

Apart from sharing bits of their childhood and moments that made them laugh out loud, they also gave their thoughts on how women should take part in empowering others.

The last questions, meanwhile, varied for each candidate. While some of them were asked about their hobbies, others talked about the pandemic, independence, and the environment, among other topics.

This interview kicks off the preliminary competition, which will be held Wednesday night at Cove Manila.

On Tuesday, the candidates paraded their national costumes, which put a spotlight on Philippine textiles and weavings.

They also flaunted their beauty during the earlier swimsuit, fashion and runway, and introduction video challenges.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night will be held on April 30 at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

It will be hosted by former Miss Universe titleholders Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere, and Demi-Leigh Tebow. – RC, GMA News
