Michelle Dee joins Miss Universe Philippines 2022: ‘It’s now or never’

It’s official: After the world, Michelle Dee now has her eyes set on conquering the universe!

Looking fierce with her hair styled short and sleek, the Miss World 2019 announced on Instagram that she had joined Miss Universe Philippines.

“It’s now or never,” she wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtags #DEEpataposanglaban and #forDEEuniverse.

In her application video uploaded on Kumu, the 26-year-old beauty queen said she knew the pageant would not be easy. However, she is ready to take on the challenge.

“Tenacity, love for my country, and the willingness to do good with this platform is what I believe will be my greatest advantage on the Miss Universe Philippines stage,” she said.

“I want to be able to inspire everyone to achieve their best self through example, innovation, and my burning passion to make country proud once more,” she added.

Michelle, who won Miss World Philippines in 2019, will be representing Makati City.

The current titleholder is Beatrice Luigi Gomez, who finished on top 5 at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in December.

The new queen will be crowned in April.
