7,600 Typhoon Odette victims in Limasawa get food packs, blankets from GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 7,600 Typhoon Odette victims in Limasawa, Southern Leyte, received food packs and blankets from GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a “24 Oras” report, Wednesday, among the beneficiaries were residents of Barangay Magallanes, where even the main office and health center were swept away by the typhoon.
“Walang naiwan. Lahat tumba. Lahat sira ’yung mga gamit namin sa barangay. Walang natira,” said barangay captain Amy Gabriel.
[Nothing’s left. Everything collapsed. All of our things in the barangay were damaged. Nothing remained.]
To bring relief packages to six barangays in the island municipality, GMA Kapuso Foundation traveled from Ormoc City for six hours despite the strong waves.
GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, PayMaya, Zalora, Mega Mart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
