Family whose home was damaged in Bohol among beneficiaries of GMA Kapuso Foundation feeding program

A family whose home was heavily damaged by Typhoon Odette was among the beneficiaries of a feeding program initiated by GMA Kapuso Foundation in Bohol.

As reported on “24 Oras” Wednesday, the house of Dolores Jaganas and her family was destroyed and only a tarpaulin sheet and what was left of their home served as their shelter.

Apart from losing their home and their things, Dolores, her children, and grandchildren had nothing to eat.

“Mahirap talaga. Nagpundar ako, naghanapbuhay para sa bahay namin. Tapos wala na. Mga gamit ay wala na talaga,” said Dolores.

“Nag-uulam ako ng asin, sinasawsaw ’yung kanin. Okay na sa akin ’yon. Basta ’yung mga apo ko, makakain sila ng sakto, kahit ’yung sardinas tapos noodles.”

Dolores and her family were among the beneficiaries of GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Operation Bayanihan project, which distributed food, soup, bread, and eggs to around 200 individuals affected by Odette in Clarin town.

For those who wish to send help to victims of Typhoon Odette, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, PayMaya, Zalora, Mega Mart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
