Marian Rivera reveals Urvashi Rautela knew ‘Sabay-Sabay Tayo’ prior to Miss Universe pageant

Sounds like Indian actress Urvashi Rautela did an ample amount of research on Marian Rivera prior to the 70th Miss Universe pageant held earlier this month.

During their stint as part of the selection committee, they took social media by storm when Marian was seen teaching Urvashi the dance steps to her song “Sabay-Sabay Tayo.”

Although it’s just natural to think that Marian was the one who initiated such interaction, the Kapuso star said it was actually the Indian actress who asked for guidance on the dance.

“Si Urvashi ang mismong nagsabi sa’kin na, ‘can you teach me your dance steps?’ So sabi ko, ‘what are you talking about?’ Sabi niya, ‘your ‘Sabay-Sabay Tayo,’” Marian said in an online interview.

“Kung makikita mo yung video, halos parang alam na niya yung dance steps kahit hindi niya ako tingnan so nakakatuwa na alam niya yung ‘Sabay-Sabay Tayo,’” she added.

Marian added that Urvashi had also teased her about the sexy magazine photos she had done in the past.

“Sini-search niya ako. Sabi ko, ‘stop searching me.’ Sabi niya, ‘ah, you do the FHM. Sexy photos.’ Sabi ko, ‘my God, Urvashi, stop it,’” Marian recalled, smiling.

Now back in Manila after the 70th Miss Universe pageant, Marian said she was grateful to have built a new friendship not just with Urvashi, but also with her fellow Miss Universe judges.

According to Marian, all of them have stayed in touch through social media since the coronation. In fact, she and Urvashi have already planned on visiting each other’s countries soon.

“Lahat talaga ng kasama ko mag-judge ay napaka-down to earth, napakabait, ’di ka maiilang makipag-usap kasi sila mismo, talagang ina-approach ka nila, so nakakatuwa ’yung experience na makasama sila.”

Urvashi represented India at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She starred in movies like “Great Grand Masti” and “Sanam Re.” – RC, GMA News
