Beatrice Gomez has ‘no regrets’ with her Miss Universe performance: ‘Binigay ko po lahat’
Beatrice Luigi Gomez has no regrets with her performance at the 70th Miss Universe pageant.
In a press conference livestreamed on Facebook, the Philippine candidate was asked if she was surprised to be included in the competition’s top 5.
Beatrice confidently answered that she expected to place at the top.
“I know how hard I worked and all I ever did was deliver my best so for me, ’yung best ko isn’t just limited to top 16 or top 10. I was really aiming for the crown,” she said.
“It’s just that there are some girls who were really destined to get the crown, which is my very good friend Harnaaz Sandhu, and I’m very proud of her.”
According to the Cebuana beauty, she knew that she did all that she could and she was happy with it.
“No regrets po sa performance ko. Para sa ’kin, hindi po kulang kasi binigay ko po lahat. I’m just very proud of what I did,” she said.
With regard to the Q&A portion, Bea said she was surprised to get a political question. Nevertheless, she was happy that she got to incorporate her beliefs in her answer. Nerves just got in the way of the delivery.
Beatrice, hailing from Cebu City, settled with a top 5 finish at the 70th Miss Universe pageant, where India’s Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the new queen.
Shortly after the coronation, she visited Harnaaz and congratulated her with a hug and thoughtful words.
Though Beatrice failed to enter the 70th Miss Universe Top 3, it sure looked like she won with all the friends and bonding moments she gained throughout her stint.
Of course, let’s not leave out the pride she brought the Philippines with her outstanding performances.
Congratulations again, Bea! – RC, GMA News
