Beatrice Luigi Gomez lands on Missosology's Top 5 hot picks for Miss Universe 2021
Philippine bet Beatrice Luigi Gomez landed on Missosology's Top 5 hot picks for the Miss Universe 2021 crown.
The pageant website shared their picks on Sunday, saying that the Cebuana queen performed well all throughout the preliminaries.
"Despite pressure that comes with wearing the Philippine sash, Beatrice seems to be totally unaffected and has shown grace and poise throughout the competition," Missosology said.
"Pageant fans could sometimes be very nitpicky, but to our pool of experts, Bea's overall performance during the preliminary competition was outstanding," it added.
Taking the top spot is India's Harnaaz Sandhu, followed by America's Elle Smith, Puerto Rico's Michelle Marie Colon, and Colombia's Valeria Ayos.
Completing the Top 10 were Belgium's Kedist Deltour, Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira, Spain's Sarah Loinaz, France's Clémence Botino, and Dominican Republic's Debbie Aflalo.
Beatrice's standing took a turn after slaying the Miss Universe stage in Israel with her pink swimsuit, red evening gown, and her "Bakunawa" national costume.
Prior to the preliminary competition last Saturday, she placed 10th on Missosology's second hot picks.
Beatrice made history in September after becoming the first openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
The coronation event for the 70th Miss Universe will be on Monday morning (Philippine time).
