Samantha Panlilio after Miss Grand International pageant: 'I am completely heartbroken but I know that I did my best'

Philippine bet Samantha Panlilio took to Instagram to express her emotions after she bowed out early in the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant on Saturday.

Sharing shots of her looking like a true queen in a bejeweled gown, Samantha thanked those who have given her support all throughout the competition.

She gave a special mention to Binibining Pilipinas organization, her fans, trainers, stylists, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves.

"Thank you all for the love and support. I am completely heartbroken but I know that I did my best and that's all that matters. I feel nothing but grateful. My heart is warm," she wrote.

"To my Samblazers, the Philippines, for all the support, mahal ko kayong lahat. See you very soon."

In the comments section, Nicole and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray assured her that she did a great job and that the Philippines is still very much so proud of her.

"You are a Queen in every sense! Only better things ahead! Never denied, only redirected. We're right behind you," wrote Catriona.

"Thank you for being the kind of representative who made the most of every opportunity given to you to give an unforgettable performance. The strength and resilience your character is admirable. The true definition of a Filipina," Nicole added.

On Saturday, the beauty queen hailing from Cavite failed to make it to the competition's Top 20.

Nevertheless, she made the country proud when she entered the Top 10 Best in National Costume with "Paruparo" and Top 5 Best in Swimsuit through popular vote.

During the preliminary competition, Samantha dazzled the audience in her bejeweled cape gown called "Layag Balangay," which represented the Philippines' seafaring vessel.

Samantha was crowned the Binibining Pilipinas Grand International in July.
