Philippine bet Maureen Montagne crowned Miss Globe 2021
Maureen Montagne is the new Miss Globe!
The Filipina beauty queen was crowned Miss Globe 2021 during the grand coronation night held in Tirana, Albania on Saturday morning (Manila time).
This marks the second time the Philippines won the international pageant, after Ann Colis in 2015.
Maureen stunned in a black two-piece bikini during the swimsuit competition before donning a shimmery gold dress as her evening gown.
She also answered flawlessly during the Q&A portion, during which she was asked: "Do you think beauty is a merit and how can we enrich it with other values?"
"I think that true beauty comes from within," Maureen said. "To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires. What makes us beautiful is our smiles, it's what we do for our community, it's how we give back to others, and it's how we carry ourselves through life. I believe that everyone has beauty inside of them and I believe it's our duty to share it to the world and to give back and to truly inspire others."
Maureen won the title of Miss Globe Philippines 2021 during the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 pageant back in July.
Prior to this, she finished first runner-up in Miss Eco International 2019. —JCB, GMA News
