Tony Hawk sells 100 skateboards painted with his blood
A hundred people will soon be able to ride on a skateboard smeared with Tony Hawk's actual blood.
The skateboarding legend just teamed up with company Liquid Death for a limited edition run of skateboards that have a vial of Hawk's blood infused with the deck paint.
On Instagram, Hawk posted a video that showed his blood being drawn and mixed into a tub of red paint.
"I am deeply thankful to have a connection with my fans, and I appreciate how Liquid Death connects with theirs," Hawk said in a statement.
"This collaboration is taking those connections to a new level, as I have literally put my blood (and soul?) into these decks," he added.
The skateboards cost $500 each.
All 100 of them were immediately sold out.
Tony Hawk, 53, is one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. He became a professional skateboarder at the age of 14, and retired in 2003. —JCB, GMA News
