What Jan Catherine Sy wrote in her journal days before she passed away
Ten days before she passed away, Jan Catherine Sy, the granddaughter of SM magnate Henry Sy, Sr. and daughter of SM Prime Holdings chairman Henry Sy, Jr. wrote an inspiring and peaceful message in her journal.
In a Christ's Commission Fellowship video posted last week, the pastor shared a few words from Jan's journal entry, with the permission of her family.
In a journal entry dated March 8, Jan wrote, "Tread lightly on this earth for a Kingdom is to come where treasures last eternally. Fix not your eyes on either pleasures or pain. The weeds that choke are but vanity."
She added, "Good pilgrim, hold steady, and in love remain."
Jan, who was the vice president at SM Development Corporation, passed away on March 18. She was 29.
Her father and sister, Jessica Sy, have expressed their grief since her passing. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
