Miss World 2021 to hold pageant in Latin America for the very first time

For the very first time, the Miss World Organization will be holding its pageant in Latin America.

In a video announcement on Facebook, Friday, the organization said that it would be staging the competition in Puerto Rico this year.

To mark its 70th anniversary, MWO will also have a three-hour global telecast for the first time ever.

The grand coronation night will be held on Dec. 16.

Meanwhile, Miss World Philippines announced in February that it had already started screening for the next candidates.

In July, it was announced that the country’s search for its Miss World 2020 would be moved to 2021 due to the pandemic. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
