Angely Dub says thieves broke into her QC condo; ‘I’m scared to live in Manila; never again’
Celebrity travel planner Angely Dub has shared that thieves ransacked her condominium unit in Cubao, Quezon City, while she was away.
Not only did they steal her possessions including her residency card, but they also hung out on her bed, smoked inside her unit, and even played with her underwear, she said on Instagram Wednesday.
Angely is the chief executive officer of Access Travel and Tours, an agency whose clients include showbiz personalities and other influential celebrities.
The CEO said the robbers broke into her unit at 2 a.m. last week.
“I just can’t imagine what would have happened to me if I went home last night. I feel like someone was waiting for me ... I was lucky because I decided last Friday to go to mom’s place coz I was feeling sad. Otherwise, I don’t know what could have happened,” she said in a series of social media stories.
“If I went home last night I could have been raped or killed without anyone knowing about it.”
Angely called out Amaia Skies Cubao and Ayala Land over alleged lack of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and security at the building despite previous reported robbery cases.
“They don’t have [any] single footage of what happened because apparently they have no budget for CCTV for our hallways according to them when the police asked them for it and if they had it I wouldn’t be doing this post—case solved. Our families can’t go to visit but the thieves can just go in and out like nothing,” she posted on Facebook.
“Ayalaland and Amaia Skies, I will sue all of you. I will make sure you won’t get away with this. I feel like I almost died and got raped just by thinking of this. This is not right for the amount of money we pay you,” she said.
“I will fight till the end against the management. This goes beyond paying for the damages. This is disrespecting our rights as humans and our hard earned money. This is about being safe when you’re asleep because you pay millions to real estate owners to be robbed. No one is safe honestly if this is a modus going on around for years.”

Amaia Land issued a statement regarding the incident, saying the management had reached out to the CEO.
It also stressed that the building had CCTVs “in all the required areas.”
“As for the lack of CCTVs in the hallway, we take this opportunity to confirm that the project was built to be compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and that Amaia had installed CCTVs in all the required areas,” said Amaia Skies Cubao project development manager Raizel Matibag.
The property management also said that it had been assisting the local authorities’ investigation on the matter and that it had been “implementing more stringent security measures.”
While Angely said she would miss the place after a month of living there alone, it would haunt her her “whole life—mentally and emotionally.”
She advised the public to be vigilant and extra cautious.
“Please be vigilant and always bring someone with you. This is coming from a person who’s travelled the world all by herself for 14 years. I’m scared to live in Manila. Never again,” she said.
“Please triple lock your doors. Condos are no longer safe.”
In her latest Instagram stories, Angely could be seen traveling on a plane and arriving at her new destination after a few hours.
