Binibining Pilipinas grand coronation night to be held this April
The show is back on!
After announcing that Binibining Pilipinas will be coming back this year, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) said that the grand coronation night will be held this coming April 17.
During the live Facebook commentary session of the candidates' national costumes on Friday, Binibining Pilipinas International Patch Magtanong read a letter from BPCI chairperson Stella Araneta and confirmed the new date.
"I am happy to announce that the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. is all set to continue with the pageant this year," Araneta wrote. "Our tradition of identifying and crowning our new queens will be done in a 'new normal' and safe setting."
She added, "We share your excitement as we see the candidates in action again and we look forward to your continuous support. See you all on April 17, 2021 for the Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night."
After postponing its pageant last year amid the pandemic, the BPCI announced on social media last week that it will be pushing through with its activities this year.
To officially open the Binibining Pilipinas season, the organization said that it will launch a national costume photo exhibit at the Gateway Mall on January 22 to 31, and at the Ali Mall on February 1 to 14.
While the BPCI lost the Miss Universe franchise in 2019 — Gazini Ganados was the last Bb. Pilipinas Universe crowned under its helm — it continues to have the Miss International, Miss Globe, Miss Intercontinental, and the Grand International beauty pageants under its belt. —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
