How to be a girl boss in 4 steps, according to Ashley Ortega
It's not easy being an actress, host and a businesswoman at the same time.
However, for girl boss Ashley Ortega, it all boils down to the right amount of planning, motivation and patience. After months of balancing it all, Ashley shared a few key tips to fellow girl bosses out there.
1. Planning is key
According to Ashley, planning is a vital key in balancing all of your priorities.
"Actually nung una nahirapan ako espcially nung naglock-in taping," Ashley said during an interview on Friday. "I made sure na I launched Ashleigh Collection before ako magfocus sa taping."
She added, "In the morning, I would study my script. At night, I would have a meeting with my assistant and brainstorm. Kailangan you have to plan. Hindi pwedeng basta-basta kung nandiyan."
Ashley shared that although she had a business, she didn't want to stop focusing on her acting career so she had to plan it all out.
"I always plan ahead. Kung feeling ko busy ako, focus lang talaga ako sa goal ko," she said.
2. Patience is a virtue, seriously!
"Pinaka-important, you really have to be patient," Ashley said.
After launching her business, Ashley shared that her number of buyers were lower than what she expected.
"You really have to be patient...I talked to my other friends na may businesses din. They said na, Ash, that's normal. At the start, you can't expect a lot of people to buy from you," Ashley said.
She added, "Just because you haven't seen the best result doesn't mean you'll give up right away. Kailangan mo lang maniwala sa sarili mo. The more patient you are, the more blessings you'll receive."
3. Stay motivated
Ashley shared that when it comes to your business, you have to stay motivated because it's not an easy journey.
"You have to be motivated," the actress said. "Kailangan mo maghanap ng motivation because its a long process."
The support of your friends and family also plays a role in keeping you motivated, said Ashley.
4. Believe in yourself
The going may get tough, but you have to be tougher.
"Believe in yourself,"Ashley said. "It's hard pero you can't give up. You have to push yourself."
