Joey de Leon wrote a nostalgic song titled 'Bakuna' set to the tune of the classic 'Manila'
Do you remember how your parents used to calm your fears right before you got a shot?
Well, Joey de Leon wrote a song about it, just as the world is hoping for a vaccine to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Eat Bulaga "Henyo Master" shared the lyrics to "Bakuna" in a clip he posted on Instagram, where he sang them the tune of "Manila" by Hotdog.
"Bakuna, ang aking naaalala, dahil ngayon ay bakuna, bakuna topic ngayon..." Joey sang.
"I remember nung bata pa ako, parang kagat lang ng langgam, mga doktor 'yan sinasabi, sa tuwing ikaw ay magtatanong..." he continued.
Joey de Leon is a Filipino comedian, actor and songwriter who is one of the main hosts of GMA-7's noontime variety show "Eat Bulaga."
He is currently fulfilling his hosting duties from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but he has been letting his creative juices flow in more ways than one.
Apart from song-writing, Joey has also been sharing many of his witty quarantine-inspired paintings on Instagram. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
