GMA News programs, personalities recognized at 2020 Paragala Media Awards

GMA News programs and personalities were given recognition at the 2020 Paragala Media Awards held Saturday, Dec. 12.

Presented by the Holy Angel University, the Paragala: The Central Luzon Media Awards honors media personalities, shows, and TV stations in the country, as voted by Central Luzon students. 

The evening newscast “24 Oras” was recognized as the best news program, while “I-Witness” received the best documentary award for “Silaki,” and “Biyahe ni Drew” was named best magazine show. 

Paragala also gave the top news personalities award to Arnold Clavio, Atom Araullo, Ivan Mayrina, Kara David, Mike Enriquez, and Mel Tiangco.

A new set of special awards were also given to the following GMA shows: Paragala Pang Kultura for news magazine show “I-Juander”; Paragala Pang Pamilya for the sitcom “Pepito Manaloto”; and Paragala Pang Likhaan for the educational show “AHA!” – RC, GMA News
