Gabbi Garcia says she's often shamed for being 'morena,' 'flat-chested'

Gabbi Garcia has also had her fair share of experiences on body shaming.

In an episode of "IRL," the Kapuso actress said she is often shamed for being morena and flat-chested.

"Hindi ako nakaligtas sa pag-bo-body shaming, and dami pa ring mga tao na nag-co-comment sakin tungkol sa katawan ako. I guess kasi artista or public figure kaya ang daming mata nakatingin sakin," she said.

"Ang dami kong na-e-experience sa social media lalo na sa pagiging morena ko or flat-chested," she added.

Gabbi said that she's been "creating a conversation" about rejecting body shaming and loving one's self since 2017.

"Dapat talaga hindi tayo mag-body shame ng mga tao, mapa-artista man 'yan, bata, o matanda," she said.

"I encourage you guys na mahalin niyo ang sarili niyo, accept who you are," she added. 

Gabbi is the host of GMA's new youth-oriented show "IRL," where millennials can make their voices heard on things that matter to them.
