Jose Mari Chan performs his classic 'A Perfect Christmas' on 'Unang Hirit'

No less than the Father of Filipino Christmas Carols has graced Unang Hirit for a special performance.

Jose Mari Chan on Tuesday virtually guested the morning show, singing his iconic "A Perfect Christmas" for the viewers.

Among Chan's other classics include "Christmas In Our Hearts" and "A Wish on Christmas Night."

However, he rejected the title of Father of Filipino Christmas Carols and insisted he was just a "Little Drummer Boy."

Chan's performance is part of Unang Hirit's week-long celebration of its 21st anniversary, which kicked off on November 30.

The celebrations will culminate on December 4, ahead of the morning show's anniversary on December 6.

Unang Hirit aired its first episode in 1999, making it the longest-running morning show in the Philippines today. —JCB, GMA News
