Japan university to offer degree in anime and manga

Have you ever dreamed of being part of the production of an anime or manga?

A university in Japan wants to make that dream come true by establishing an anime and manga department, recently officially approved by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

According to Crunchyroll, the Kaishi Professional University in Niigata Prefecture is launching the new department in April 2021, with a capacity of 80 students.

The students will get to learn directly from animators, directors, and manga artists among many others, the report said.

Applications will be accepted starting December 1, 2020, and the first entrance exam will be held on December 19, 2020. —JCB, GMA News
