Katy Perry just dropped the first single of her upcoming sixth album "Smile."
The American pop star had teased the title track by uncovering the album art of "Smile," which featured her, ironically, frowning with a red clown nose.

The singer said she wrote the song at a time when she "lost her smile."
"I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light - with stories of resilience, hope, and love," she wrote on Twitter.
