Rico Blanco to drop new song called 'This Too Shall Pass' on May 1

Rico Blanco has a new song for all of you experiencing quarantine blues.

The singer-songwriter has yet to tell us what the song is about, but we do know it’s called "This Too Shall pass" and it’s going to drop May 1, 2020.

Rico also teased us with some sentimental cover art in his Instagram post.

"This too shall pass" has been sort of a battle cry as the world battles the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Department of Health has recorded 8,212 cases in the Philippines, with deaths at 558 and recoveries at 1,023 as of Wednesday.

Enhanced community quarantine measures implemented in Luzon and other parts of the country has also plunged many Filipinos into uncertainty and loneliness.

Artists like Ryan Cayabyab, Julie Anne San Jose, and Jeremiah Tiangco have also been sharing music from their homes to boost morale during the crisis.
