Alba Flores reacts to her character Nairobi's fate in 'Money Heist' Part 4
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
If you've already watched "Money Heist" Part 4, the show probably messed with both your head and heart, especially with the fate of Nairobi.
In a roundtable interview with the press including GMA News Online, Alba Flores, who plays Nairobi in the series, said her fate this season was "inevitable."
"I think that it is inevitable, to extend in time to long a show without taking risks and without losses, especially because we're talking about an action show where it's important to keep the truthfulness and for everything to be believable," she said.
Alba added she's still trying to process what happened to her character Nairobi since she shot it.
"I've died. Still trying to digest this since I shot this and until I saw it, " she said.
Although she feels sorry to have her character get killed, Alba thinks it's what "works with the script that it had there, there has to be a big loss in the team."
She said Nairobi's death will make the Heist family "grow and mature as a crew plan will make them mature, every single one of them and they need it to come out of the tank."
Alba said she knows it feels "very traumatic to see all the characters cry because of my [Nairobi] death."
She said the season ended emotionally and beautifully with every member of the Heist family having the raging passion to fight for her character Nairobi after her brutal death.
"That was beautiful and to see at the end of the season now for everyone to be wanting to fight for Nairobi. That's thrilling. Yes, very emotive."
Alba said she would've wanted her character to die in a more heroic way and jump in front of a bullet for someone else but she said for her character that wasn't the case.
Alba's character Nairobi survived after the Heist family successfully revived and saved her after being shot by a sniper by Sierra's team, the national police corps.
What's heartbreaking was she fell in love with Bogota after surviving but she later ended up dying after their new enemy Gandia escaped and shot her in the head.
The feels. We know!
All episodes of Money Heist Part 4 launched on Netflix on April 3.
