Minions' language includes Filipino words

Apparently, it's not all gibberish!

Contrary to popular belief, the minions from popular animated film series "Despicable Me" are (sometimes) actually speaking actual words. Their language, called the Minionese, is actually a combination of languages from all over the world.

According to an episode of "AHA!", the minions could be heard speaking Filipino words three times in the films.

In one scene, the minions uttered, "Okay, ikot. Tara!" In another, they said, "Pwede na!"

Minions have been found to speak Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, Russian, Korean and sometimes just plain gibberish.

These fictional characters were supposedly biologically created to seek and serve the most awful of villains out there.

They came from the sea 60 million years ago and have lived longer than dinosaurs and cavemen.

The adorable yellow creatures shot to popularity after "Despicable Me" hit the big screen.
