Michelle Dee now an Autism Society Philippines Goodwill Ambassador
Whether she wins or loses in Miss World 2019, Michelle Dee has taken a step closer to her true goal: to help with autism awareness.
The 23-year-old actress and beauty queen has just been made a Goodwill Ambassador by the Autism Society Philippines (ASP), a non-profit organization that Michelle works closely with.
As someone with two brothers with autism, Michelle is outspoken about her "life-long mission" to give people like them a better life.
Her advocacy has already earned her a spot in the Top 25 of Miss World's Beauty with a Purpose program.
The ASP said that Michelle's efforts "amplified" their voices because she took their advocacy for autism acceptance and inclusion "to the next level."
Because of this, they deemed her worthy of being a Goodwill Ambassador.
"The board of ASP has unanimously voted last Saturday to offer to you the Autism Society Philippines Goodwill Ambassador," they said.
"We are praying for your continued success. Whatever happens tomorrow, you are our QUEEN!" they added.
Michelle will be vying for the Miss World 2019 crown tonight at 10:00 p.m. (Manila time).
