Former hosts Paolo Bediones and Hans Montenegro reunite with 'Unang Hirit' barkada on show's 20th anniversary
The 20th anniversary bonanza of "Unang Hirit" packed on some early morning nostalgia on Friday with a special appearance from two very familiar faces.
We're talking about Paolo Bediones and Hans Montenegro, who used to be hosts on the show!
Paolo and Hans were part of the UH barkada from 2007 - 2009 and 2000 - 2003, respectively, but both were clearly still part of the gang when they returned to the UH set as one of the surprise guests for the show's extra special 20th anniversary celebration.
During the live anniversary special, the two happily jumped into some early morning kulitan with their former co-hosts.
They both felt incredibly nostalgic as they looked back on some of their most memorable segments on the show.
Paolo also revealed why, even after a decade has passed, Unang Hirit remains "close to his heart."
"Kasi dito ako nagsimula," he said.
Paolo also congratulated the program and his former co-hosts for an "amazing" 20 years.
"It's amazing how some things have changed and some things are the same and, looking at you guys, 'yun pa rin ang energy na meron kayo for the past 20 years," he said. "I'm so proud of you guys. Twenty years is... wow!"
