Two GMA Public Affairs documentaries honored in London

Two GMA Public Affairs documentaries were given recognition at the Association of International Broadcasters (AIB) Awards held in London.

"Batas ng Karagatan" from the Reporter's Notebook, and "Babies4Sale.PH" from The Atom Araullo Specials received a "highly commended" plaque from the awards board.

Atom personally received the award during the ceremony.

The documentary "Babies4Sale.PH" delves into the business of selling babies online, particularly the "Adoption Pages" in Facebook. Just last month, the special won the Best Documentary Programme (one-off) at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Meanwhile, "Batas ng Karagatan" tells the heart-wrenching stories of fishermen who were affected by the tension the Philippines and China because they have long since made a living by fishing at the Scarborough Shoal.
