Yolanda survivor Philip Christian Palabay becomes licensed accountant

Philip Christian Palabay's suffering and hard work has borne fruit — despite his tough past, he is now a licensed accountant.

To recall, Philip is a Yolanda survivor from Tacloban who was given a chance by GMA News' Kara David and her scholarship foundation Project Malasakit.

Philip took up Accountancy at the University of the Philippines Visayas, and graduated cum laude.

And just recently, he passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exam.
