Michelle Dee on being crowned Miss World Philippines 2019: 'I still get goosebumps'
Exactly one week after coronation night, Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee is still feeling "very, very overwhelmed."
"Whenever I think about coronation, I still get goosebumps," she said on GMA-7 morning show Unang Hirit on Monday.
Dee, who was crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last September 15, bested 39 other candidates.
She owned the pageant very early on, bagging special awards including Miss Blue Water Spa, Miss Myra E, Miss Best Skin, and Miss Bench.
Michelle was an early favorite, with pageant website Missosology fearlessly predicting she would win the pageant.
Shortly after winning, Michelle said she hopes to be the second Filipina to win the Miss World crown.
In December, she'll be representing the Philippines at the global Miss World pageant in London.
Being a beauty queen is in Dee's blood. The Kapuso talent and model is the daughter Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and the cousin of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
