'Asia's Got Talent' 2015 finalist Gerphil Flores graduates from University of British Columbia

Asia's Got Talent 2015 finalist Gerphil Flores has graduated from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

"If there is one thing I learned in life that I will never get tired of sharing with others is that you should never stop learning. Learn more, discover more," Flores said in a Facebook post announcing her graduation.

According to Flores, she decided to study again after completing her bachelor's degree in Music at UP Diliman in 2016 "to see the bigger view of what Art History (music, painting, sculpture, architecture, photography etc) is all about."

She described the University of British Columbia, where she eventually applied and got accepted, as her "dream school."

"For me, the best thing you will find in UBC is its diversity," Flores mused. "People from different cultures meet in this place. It will open your eyes and make you see what a wonderful world it is that we live in."

"Even though I've been away from the Philippines for almost 2 years, every experience I've had in this university led me to see the world of Art as if I was riding a magical carpet where it took me on a whole new journey (Yes, Aladdin inspired. I loved the movie)," Flores said. —KBK, GMA News
