2018 Bar topnotcher stands for the LGBT community
Ateneo law school valedictorian Sean James Borja isn't just bringing himself as he takes on the title of being the 2018 Bar exams topnotcher—he's bringing the entire LGBT community.
In an interview with Stand For Truth on Friday, Borja shared that almost everything he did to succeed in the Bar exams was for the LGBT community.
Known to be openly gay since he was small, Borja said, "I think I do owe it to them because a lot of what I did for the Bar was also for them, to show na we, members of the LGBT community, can also be great in our own way."
The Atenean graduate, who garnered a whooping score of 89.3060% in the Bar exams, narrated how, whenever he was down, his LGBT friends were always there to support and cheer him on.
In an interview on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Friday, Borja said hard work, dedication, sticking to one's goals, and not letting insecurities get the best of you will help anyone seeking success.
The Bar exams results were released on Friday and out of the 8,155 bar exams takers, only 1,800 or 22.07% passed. —Kaela Malig/KG, GMA News
