Miss Universe franchise stays with Bb. Pilipinas

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) issued an official statement to the Manila Bulletin, saying the Philippine franchise of the beauty pageant is staying with the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI).

In the statement sent to Manila Bulletin, MUO “admitted that the group of Singson is supporting the efforts of MUO and the BPCI ‘in seeking to modernize and grow the brand into more than a one day special and LCS (Luis Chavit Singson) has agreed to support us in our efforts to do so’,” reports Robert R. Requintina on Manila Bulletin Sunday.

In January, Chavit insisted the franchise was “already with me.”

The Bb. Pilipinas 2019 pageant will be held in June. — LA, GMA News
