Razorback drummer Brian Velasco falls to death
Razorback drummer Brian Velasco died on Wednesday after falling off a condominium building, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
The PNP, citing an incident report from the Malate Police Station, said that the remains of Velasco were discovered by the guard on duty around 9:45 am of Wednesday, January 16, in City Land Tower 1, Malate, Manila.
The guard then sought assistance from the Manila police who found Velasco in white polo shirt and maong pants with multiple wounds on his legs and body.
Velasco, 41, was a resident of the condominium building.
The same police report also said that Velasco's brother and La Salle student, Gabriel Angelo, told the police that the musician was suffering from depression.
In addition, the PNP said that Velasco's mother, Elizabeth, executed an affidavit of waiver wherein she requested that the remains of her son be turned over to her and that further investigation need not be conducted by the police anymore.
"Today we lost our brother....and our hearts are broken.....we love you and we will always miss you Bri," Razorback posted on Facebook Wednesday afternoon.
News of Brian’s death spread on social media Wednesday morning, with musicians and scene insiders mourning their comrade.
