Winwyn will remain an education advocate post-Reina Hispanoamericana
More than a dreamer, Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez is a true beauty with a purpose. She knows what her goals are and she works toward achieving them.
The Reina Hispanoamericana crown is both a dream come true and the product of her dedication. She may have passed it on, but everything that pushed her to pursue it remains in Winwyn's mind.
"My reign may end but my journey toward helping create a better world for the little ones has just begun," Winwyn declared in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
The beauty queen's other dream is to be a teacher and she expressed every intention of making that come true, too.
"I strongly believe the value of education can stand on firmer ground by strengthening the family. This may be a tall order given society’s varying circumstances, but we should at least dream and work for a better future for the human family."
Eternally grateful
Winwyn expressed absolute gratitude for the opportunity the crown gave her.
"My reign as Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 has been filled with wondrous experiences ... This is such an unforgettable journey made more memorable by the warmth, friendship, and wisdom of amazing people from various walks of life and different cultures."
Meeting different people and being immersed in other cultures has made Winwyn more aware of how she can use her life to influence and empower others.
Winwyn is the first Filipina to join Reina Hispanoamericana and with a dazzling performance throughout the competition, she also became the first Filipina beauty queen to wear the Reina Hispanoamericana crown. — AT, GMA News
